Random Musings.

Sometimes in life you should keep your mouth shut.

As the saying goes, a closed mouth gathers no foot.

Undoubtedly the temptation to talk about things you shouldn't is great, but you gotta have some self-control.

Some people have it, some don't.

Perhaps when you say things you change it to reflect yourself. That is only human.

But human isn't really that good is it? But since we're so prideful of our status as humans,

we'll let it be.

After all McCartney is a good songwriter.

Sometimes you think you are what you think you are, but you aren't what you think you are.

Hank Green sings, "....but I know what I know, but you think that you know what I know that you don't."

You have to accept that you may not be what you are when people tell you you aren't what you think you are.

Tangled webs, there aren't many.

Owning your burdens is half the battle

And sometimes acceptance is all it takes.

Sometimes you have to accept that life is mundane, and drama just doesn't fit in.

But television's got us dreaming, hasn't it?

When you live in a world with 6.8 billion other people, you gotta understand that the world doesn't revolve around you, and generalizations based on your own experiences only just don't work.

But we've been taught to put ourselves above others.

In this world, you're entitled to your own views, but you can't and shouldn't disregard the views of others as incorrect. See it from their eyes, or if you can't, appreciate that they're different, and be fair.

What with all the talk about open-mindedness we are all still ridiculously narrow-minded.

And when you are caught up in your own self-pity and melancholy, remember that not the whole world is out to get you.

So stop assuming, and start trusting, because there are no excuses.

Everything is in the head.

"Come gather 'round people,
Wherever you roam.
And admit that the waters around you have grown.
And accept it that soon you'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you is worth savin',
then you'd better start swimmin' or you'll sink like a stone
For the times, they are a changin'.."

And also remember that people do get pissed off eventually, no matter how tolerant they are. Everyone has their limits.
